  Words:The meaning and the pronunciation of the words such as“light,heavy,big,small...”.
  Target language:“It’s heavy/small/big and light...”.
  Difficult Points:
  How to give suggestions when shopping and describe things’feature by using the correct sentence structure“It is…”.

  Students can understand the meaning of new words about describing objects like“light,heavy,big,small...”.
  Students can master the sentence structure:“It’s heavy/small/big and light...”.
  Ability aims:
  Students can use the sentence structure by listening and reading some easy sentences.
  Students can describe things’feature and give some advice.
  Emotional aims:
  Students would love to know more about the features of many things in daily life.
  Students will be more confident when communicating with others in English.
  (3)Warming up and Lead-in
  Greet students as usual and play a song about travelling.Ask them some questions like if you want to travel,what luggage should you bring?And lead students to answer the question and lead in the topic.

  Presentation
  Show some clips to teach“light,heavy,small,big...”;Show some real objects like cup and lead students to describe it:It’s heavy...It’s light...
  Then ask students to read the words and sentences one by one after the teacher in different ways.
  (设计意图:通过不同的方式呈现单词和句型,增加单词教学的趣味性,让学生更容易接受和掌握;利用实物呈现句型,活动的衔接性较好。)
  Practice
  Activity 1 High and Low voice
  Lead students to read the sentences:It’s heavy...It’s light...on the blackboard.When teacher reads sentences in a low voice,students should read in a loud voice and vice versa.
  Activity 2 Do an antonym match

  Then work in pairs to role play the dialogue.

  Production
  Let students make a dialogue by using some words about describing objects and sentence patterns in groups of two:It’s...and choose some groups as representatives to give a performance and teacher gives some positive comments.
